Run Rabbit! Run!
Once upon time a baby blue rabbit was born under the shadow of a barn in a huge green field. For many days the rabbit with his other white brothers and sisters stayed with their mother to enjoy her tendereness, warmth and security. Their mother was their sole provider; the only world they knew. Eventually, however, the rabbits became curios about the outerworld. "What possibly could we find outside our world?" one rabbit asked. No one seemed to have any idea, and while this might have been a discouragement in itself, the call of the uknown was stronger than any sense of doubt or reasoning. It was not long untill they all decided to go out from underneath the barn to discover the outerworld the following day. As soon as they had waken up, they all rushed out of the barn giggling with joy, for what they have seen was incomparable to the darkness of the barn. On the enormous and far beautiful blue cieling there was a small shining yellow ball that often disappeared behind beautiful white sponge! For the first time they could experience the sensation of wind and the sound of water springs. Above all; they felt they are connected to something even wiser and bigger than their biological and foster mother. All this triggered; a new mixed sensation of joy, energy, discovery and happiness.
Our cute friend, eventhough as amazed as his brothers and sisters, was the only one to look backwards and seek wisedom from his Mother. "What is this that we felt in our hearts when we connected to the outerworld mother?!" the rabbit asked. His mother, with a look of tenderness mixed with voidness and confusion, replied "This, my son, is life!". She was silent for seconds but suddenly continued with the same voidness "This is just part of it". They never talked again for she went into a long never ending sleep that night. When all the other rabbits came back; sunset was already commensing. They all slept after a long struggle, for the excitement of the joy they expected to experience was enormous. The following day; they all went out again; discovered new things again; came back before sunsent and hardly waited for the following day without even noticing the silence of their mother. This scenario was repeated in the following day, and the following day and the following day untill they evenutally lost any sense of joy. One rabbit would dig a hole; and once he was done; he'd dig another one. Another would go further into the field and never come back. Rumors was that a huge beast with sharp teeth would run after any rabbit that would go further into the field. Another would experience severe pain before it passes into the realem of darkness and coldness.
Astonished of how their wonderful experience turned into one mixed with confusion, sadness and pain, the blue rabbit thought to himself "Is this the other part of life mother refered to? and how come it is so different if it is one of the same thing?!". The blue rabbit had no answers and no one to resort to, for everyone else had no answers. One thing the rabbit noticed was that no matter how much senseless and mysterious life is; it goes on. Perhaps with less joy when duty, their perception of nature and their past experiences becomes the only measuring stick and sole method of experiencing life. In the end; he remembered the voidness in his mother's eyes; went back to sleep under the barn, for the outerworld was no longer different untill he finds the answers.
It is true that everything is part of a higher power that operates a certain system. It is important to realize, however, that the only difference between screws and the blue Rabbit is that the Blue Rabbit had the privelege to wonder and run.
Run! Rabbit Run!
